How to change date UPCOMING EVENTS

I think the question is, why is the large date displayed in the orange box the date of the creation of the event post, rather than the date of the event itself. It is confusing to users to see that large date — they think a future-advertised event is happening on the day of the advertisement. (I worked around this by adjusting the date of the post itself, but this is only good for past events.)
