Why and how to write school essays? Teachers know the answer to this question well, but at the same time, each new generation of students, as well as their parents, have the same problems: the majority do not want, do not like and do not know how to write essays. Ask any child, "What is the most difficult thing?" - and he will shrug his shoulders and will not be able to formulate an answer. Any teacher will answer: “Yes, that’s all: they don’t know how to think about the topic, how to start and how to finish the text, they don’t know how to draw up a plan and don’t understand why it is needed, they can’t formulate thoughts, build the logic of presentation.” In my opinion, this is largely due to the fact that children are not explained in time, even in elementary school, simple things that help create motivation. Namely: 1) that an essay is a presentation in a certain order of one’s thoughts on a certain topic; 2) that an essay is not a test, but just a special training exercise, with the help of which a person develops his coherent written speech and at the same time learns to write correctly (and you need to practice speaking regularly, just like in sports or dancing); 3) that writing as a type of speech activity is very closely related to reading: a literate reader who can read all levels of information from a text writes better, he has these levels of information in texts; 4) that the essay will have readers, and the author needs to convey to them his thoughts, emotions and his attitude to what he is talking about, correctly and clearly state all this; a competent text speaks of the author's general culture and respect for the reader. In this battle for the result, we, unfortunately, are still losing. But it is the task of adults to help the child learn to speak and write beautifully and correctly in their native language. What can be done? The first step is to explain it all (see above). The second is to clearly articulate what you need to be able to do in order to learn how to write essays. There are several basic, basic skills: - analyze the topic, highlight key words in it; - formulate the main idea (idea) of your essay; - draw up a plan for the future text, based on the type of speech; - write the main part and conclusion according to the plan; - write an introduction that matches them; - check the text, find and correct errors (in content, speech, grammar, spelling, punctuation); - evaluate the quality of the written text. Each of these skills needs to be developed both separately and in combination with others, starting from the 4th grade, when children get acquainted with simple and complex sentences, with homogeneous sentence members and punctuation in these constructions. And before the 4th grade, it is very important to regularly engage in oral retelling of the text, write free dictations and presentations, as well as letters and postcards forgotten by many to relatives and friends. Over the years of teaching and methodological work, I have developed my own method of teaching writing, which formed the basis of the three-week online intensive "Learning to write an essay" for students in grades 4-8. But writing an essay at school is not the main goal: the ability to write correctly can always come in handy after school to write columns, social media statuses, publish reviews, etc. And for this you need to learn how to create a text based on the author's universal algorithm, which is suitable for writing any texts, not only for children, but also for adults. Pavda should not forget that in general, not all this is easy and sometimes you need to ask for help. If you suddenly need help writing an essay, please contact https://essaypay.com/. Many different professional authors are always ready to help you or your child. Every parent and teacher knows that it is not so easy to make a child write an essay, and as a result, a 6th grade student in my course writes the first essay in the amount of eight sentences, of which six are simple! It's very sad. But the situation can be corrected if you motivate the child, do not tie classes rigidly to a specific day and time, so that it is convenient for everyone, and focus not on mistakes, but on the merits of work. In three weeks, immersed in the process of work, the child will talk about himself, talk about what is important to him, and at the same time receive the necessary universal base, quickly and forever learn to write essays and other texts. Let's stop and think about the last time we asked our child about himself, and not about school grades? What did he read and why did he like this book, what is his favorite movie about? Maybe he really wants to share this with you, but you didn’t have time for it. And at school they won’t ask him about it, the school has other tasks.
